Septic System Permit Procedure

1. Pick up an Application for Septic Permit.
 
2. Receive handouts explaining requirements for permit.
 
3. Fill out Application for Permit and get Percolation Test preformed. Bring back both for approval.
 
4. Permit fee is payed to Environmental Health & you will receive a receipt in return.
 
$180.00 New Permit
 
$60.00 Replacement Permit
 
5. Give Septic Application to Sanitarian.
 
6. Sanitarian will make a site evaluation for approval of location and Percolation Test.
 
7. Sanitarian will issue Septic Permit if septic area is approved.
 
8. When the septic permit site has been inspected and finalized by the Sanitarian, copies of the permit will go to:
 
Original... Office copy
 
Planning... Copy
 
Assessor's... Copy
 
Contractor... Copy
 
Owner... Copy
 
NOTE: REPLACEMENT PERMITS DO NOT GO TO PLANNING OR ASSESSOR'S DEPARMENT.
